Joanna B. Cortez

Miss Joanna B. Cortez started her career as an Office Surgical Operating Room Nurse under Dr. Fernando J. Navales, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon in the Philippines.

Then, she followed her natural interest and changed her path to become a Life Support Instructor, in Dubai.

Her first teachings were the Heartsaver First Aid with CPR and AED and Basic Life Support courses under the American Heart Association in Cedars Jebel Ali International Hospital training center for one year.

She joined The Perfect Help in Dubai for the rewarding challenge of obtaining more certifications and teaching to larger classes of more nationalities.

She rapidly obtained her qualification under Highfields Awarding Body for Compliance to teach Emergency First Aid at Work and then quickly was approved by the First Aid Awards to teach Pediatric First Aid which she has a natural special care for.

She was also licensed by the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services to teach First aid and Basic Life Support.

Miss Cortez is a strong advocate for health and safety particularly to our small children. Prevention is better than cure. The passion for learning and sharing her knowledge and skills leave her students motivated, inspired and confident in performing first aid in any case of emergency, which is what she prides herself to have achieved.
